::I'm waking up this morning still thinking about our disturbing experience with the Mostar Tourist Adventures office. Yesterday afternoon we were sitting on the bottom stair of the office building with our toddler eating a ice cream when a man from the office at the Tourist Adventure center walks down the stairs. We politely smile and move out of the way. He stops and says "This is an office - move now". My husband and I look at each other and then around us - confused thinking maybe he's talking to someone else. He walks away and we start to pack up our things. Thirty seconds later he reappears and this time yells "What didn't you understand about LEAVE NOW the first time?". We quickly pick our baby and move away from the stairs. We try to apologize and explain we didn't mean any harm - just sitting still for a moment so our little one could eat the ice cream. We assumed it was ok to sit on the stair as the sign on the building says "Tourist Info Centre". He starts to walk towards us and now in a more aggressive manner yells at us. As we turn to get away he screams "F*** YOU!". There was an audible gasp from everyone around us - the other business owners on the street looked as shocked and horrified as our faces must have looked. We picked up the pace and got as far away from the office as we could before I broke into tears. The whole exchange is still overwhelming and shocking. To say the incident was disheartening is an understatement. My husband and I both agree that Bosnia is one of the friendly places we've ever traveled. Every other single person we met on out trip has been warm, welcoming, and kind. The fact that this man is a representative for a company that is built on interaction with tourists is troubling to say the least.
