  best possible service that you can get in Sarajevo, they are currently working on my tooths, witch were in very bad condition, will paste more results and reviews in following months. So far, healing and extracting tooth's grade 5.

  I wanted to be writing a rave review - these guys have been in business for almost a decade, offer good prices, and seem very no nonsense in their approach compared to a lot of other dentists in Sarajevo. The truth is, my first experience was just OK. I give the staff credit for being very professional. That said, most of the dentists you will see here are quite young and not Dr Pirovic himself. The draining/suction equipment used during my teeth cleaning today was broken, which is fine but broken basic equipment is always unnerving in a doctor’s office, right? It’s one of these that can make you wonder about the rest of the quality of anything else they do. The dentist I saw was very nice and tried to be very professional in his words despite limited English. I liked him. But in his actual motor skills and technique while cleaning he was much clumsier and more cavalier while cleaning than any other dentist I’ve been to in a Western country. He hit gums many times in a way that didn’t seem like he had much control. He also didn’t seem that thorough - I had the feeling he actually skipped several teeth. Presumably, he judged that these didn’t need to be cleaned. And maybe it’s just a different but perfectly cultural attitude; that is maybe medically some teeth really don’t need to cleaned in a particular session and most dentists just do it because they know customers like the feeling. But I’ve never been to a dentist who did that before, and my point here is that you shouldn’t have to be an expert on dentistry to be confident that your dentist is very competent and doing the right thing. When it was time for polishing/brushing, he put the toothpaste directly on his latex glove before applying it to the toothbrush that went inside my mouth. Perfectly sanitary? Again, maybe. I don’t know enough about the science to know. But this kind of thing definitely raises your eyebrows if you are used to a “Western” dentist. In Belgrade, I was very impressed by how modern, effective, and professional the dentist I found in Stari Grad seemed to be - easily on par with most American dentists but at a fraction of the price. Here, my impression was definitely that the cleaning was more rushed and less thorough - it seemed sloppy. I am going to guess (hope) that it was probably still a perfectly fine cleaning, latex glove toothpaste or not. But I don’t know enough about dentistry (and e.g. infections) to know that...and I suppose the point is that no one who visits a well-run dentist’s office should feel like they have to. Overall, yes, I would certainly go to this place again in a pinch. I liked the staff, they took me quickly without an appointment, everyone was very friendly. But I will also keep looking.

  Stuck his bare fingers (no gloves) in my mouth to feel it out. Left me in shock and disgust.
